What about Charles Mountbatten-Windsor? Does he deserve a place in parliament because of the family he was born into?

If you really want to use their full name then use their actual full name. Don’t arbitrarily extend their name so that they come before Arsenal you childish twats.

The AFC Bournemouth thing pisses me off because the AFC isn’t just letters. It’s short for Association Football Club Bournemouth AND S COMES AFTER R IN THE BLOODY ALPHABET.

Putting them before is always an attempt to be petty imo.

Well here I was thinking that Jimmy Reid would have been ashamed of his starmerite granddaughter and her opaque investment shell-company director of a husband but it turns out they were communist spies the whole time so that’s grand.

Starmer is a busted flush. They are going to kick him out in May and everybody knows it. If you want electoral reform Polly, you need to start campaigning for a successor who will implement it.

This is exactly what happens when public bodies run public assets as if they are capitalists, seeking rent and profit above all else.

City Property should be explicitly tasked with using its assets to support the cultural life of the city. Instead it is constitutionally bound to seek rent. Shoddy.

ai is a rhetorical technology.

when it produces a list of permissible targets, its value is not producing targets but producing permission

Not just football: film, theatre, music, books - culture of all kinds that we export all over the world.

Games Workshop makes more money than our entire fishing industry selling tiny plastic soldiers (and imaginary stories about those soldiers). We’re a cultural powerhouse.

Joe Dante and Hideo Kojima are close seconds but no director was more right about the future of war than Barry Levinson with the 1992 box office flop Toys.

Tonight I was putting my two year old daughter to bed, reading her a story and there was a faraway β€˜boom’ outside.

Probably just a firework, as it turned out, but with the news the way it is, it made my blood run cold.

Scottish greens are a different party! I’d be 200% behind Polanski if I lived in England!

It's a PDF and a webform IN THE METAVERSE.

Thank god that scottish public bodies like transport scotland have finally caught up with modern up-to-date cultural trends like the metaverse. Makes me feel so confident about how well spent my tax money is.

Transport Scotland are consulting on demolishing the M8 Woodside Viaducts.

Please, if you have a second today and you care about Glasgow, go look at this surreal virtual exhibition (could have been a PDF?) and tell them to stop throwing good money after bad, and get these monstrosities DEMOLISHED.

I have a feeling this might not be very old at all – possibly from the time after the pandemic when GCC threatened to close some libraries permanently after the temporary COVID closures.

Can’t make out the word after Glasgow on the very bottom right though.

The reason you can’t give a single inch on anything be it trans rights or dignity for unhoused people is that they, democrats and republicans alike, will take it and say thanks what else is in your pockets? They won’t say thanks actually.

Love it when an attack ad makes the intended target look metal as fuck. I would buy this album.

This is the turning point. If we can make a law to take one of them out of the line of succession then we can make a law that takes all of them out of the line of succession. I’m surprised they’re going to allow this because they can’t go back and it’s a huge constitutional shift.

I can see that argument for sure! I def don't think Britain can be fixed! I just have lots of family ties to England so worry alot about borders, rights, exchanging money etc without the fall back of EU law.

I think this shows how much churn there has been – we've both flipped sides.

And before there was Imitating The Dog, there was The Builders Association, Forkbeard Fantasy, The Wooster Group, and before them there was Svoboda, Piscator, Melies...

Film has been used in theatre basically since film was invented! It didn't appear out of nowhere in the late 90s!

Brexit is also the thing that has transformed me from a firm Yes vote to a 'Probably not' vote – and it feels like independence advocates have done absolutely nothing to address these kind of concerns.
