This is another reminder of just how important Glasgow city centre is to Scotland’s national life. It has no equivalent in terms of economic & cultural impact. Ensuring a swift recovery & longer term restoration must be a priority for all levels of government in the weeks ahead
Heartbreaking scenes of an iconic building in Glasgow engulfed in flames. A horrible hit for local businesses, the people of Glasgow, and for our city's history.
This is horrendous.
A fire started in a vape shop this afternoon has wiped out a whole row of shops in a beautiful Victorian building and completely closed Glasgow Central Station.
The fire is still raging and the Fire Service are trying to contain it with water pumped from the Clyde.

Not sure why Reform announcing they’ll scrap the Equality Act 2010 hasn’t provoked widespread alarm.
They want to torch our human rights framework AND repeal our right to protection from discrimination.
