Right, it’s that Amara's Law of overestimating the near-term impact and underestimating the long-term. I would push back on the notion that people in the VFX / themed entertainment industries revolt against new technologies. Our industry is built on embracing the cutting edge.

You don't necessarily need to say "image of" in your alt text for users to know it's an image. Screen readers will announce that it's an image. But it can help readers to specify if it's a hand-drawn image, Polaroid, infographic, screenshot, chart, map, diagram, or so on.

Just catching up on the news on the shakeup at UploadVR as editor-in-chief @ianhamilton.net Hamilton has been fired. It's still a bit unclear as to what happened, & he's got a new Substack here: goodvr.substack.com. Ian's been writing professionally about VR since the early days of Oculus in 2012.
