Lol, no that's a conclusion you jump to when you're not engaging with your critical thinking skills. No where in the report does ot say LLM are less useful to critical thinkers. If anything, engaging the LLM as a critical thinker is more useful.

You can just read the abstract and conclusion to see that the paper says that self confidence over confidence in the gen ai model still causes users to engage critical thinking skills.

Just curious: did you actually read that study? There are a number of criticisms I have. For one, it doesn't say that LLM "make us less intelligent" that's just how clickbait articles framed it.
