On January 13, a Windows security update (KB5074109) and a subsequent February "Moment" update reset many audio endpoints... and enabled a "Voice Clarity" enhancement on my mic, which caused the issue. DM me to find out where it is and how to disable it again.

Thing is, though, people are using smart glasses to film ICE agents doing their Gestapo crap without having to hold up a phone (and thus making it very clear to the douchebags that they're being recorded). In those cases, it's a great use of the technology.
