Bingo - exactly where I misunderstood the directions. Makes sense that knitting flat vs in the round would make a difference! Thank youuu
Ok yes this is exactly where I went wrong, I think - I was knitting in the round so good to know that it’s knitting every row instead of alternating!
Ooh I wish I hadn’t frogged it, I’m not sure! Will make sure to look next time
Newbie knitter question: followed the directions for stockinette (knit one row, purl 1 row), and ended up with this bumpy fabric instead of a smooth uniform knit (with uninterrupted “v’s” - totally non-technical term.) I’m sure that I’m doing something obvious/wrong … help?
