Today is day one of Women in Horror Month. The first book I'll recommend is Sadie Hartmann's Feral and Hysterical: Mother Horror’s Ultimate Reading Guide to Dark and Disturbing Fiction by Women. It's 208 insightful pages of female horror writers, divided by subgenre.

Happy Women in Horror month. I'm seconding @richardkadrey.bsky.social here - @sadiehartmann.bsky.social has written a great guide. Any time someone says, 'women can't wrote great horror' please beat them senseless with this book.
