aint that the damn truth ): for furries, i've seen a lot of furry requests thru vgen's discord server market, so you may find more success there. there's also the other discord servers i check (i have them all listed in my server if you wanna look), and furaffinity which both offer furry work

yep, i find a majority of the discord job requests are also looking for anime art, so i don't find a ton of success in there, though i've gotten a few hits, i dont know if its necessarily enough to justify using the platform with its downsides

i was intending to eventually write up an article for those who are curious about my experiences, but haven't had time yet. but in the meantime here's just my quick thoughts put together

and if vgen tells me my work is too NSFL (not safe for life, i have to laugh LOL) one more time im going to explode </3

anyways sorry to bitch and whine, im just getting tired of this ya know? it sucks i have to constantly hide my work at the risk a kid MIGHT see it or big paypal will be mad at me. its not just on vgen, its everywhere and its making it hard to share my work or find jobs

all this really is just to say... im sick of being worried about if i'm even allowed to exist as a NSFW and horror artist, and i may just be switching to creating my own personal website instead.

i get it. vgen has to deal with payment processors and the nightmare that entails. i have to deal with it too, and i'd rather just deal directly with paypal than hope vgen will have my back and pay them money on top of it while they tell me my work MIGHT be too gross to be allowed on their platform

- the home page shows portfolio pieces, though i wish it was automatically by recent, so people had a more fair chance of being seen

- i like the review system, bc i like compliments but more importantly it does increase client trust and shows quality
- the anti AI stance
- artist codes, its nice for trust though its a double edged sword as some good artists arent popular and thus have struggled to receive a code

here's the benefits i've found thru vgen:
- occasional discoverability, though most of my work comes from off the platform then are redirected there
- the scam insurance, mostly for clients, i take payment upfront
- upfront forms, for clients too shy to DM artists
- the discord server's job postings

- services have weird categories for style, half of them are like anime style variations yet i don't have one to even describe 'comic style' </3
- the stupid 8MB maximum for service files, damn even discord gives us 10 :sob:

- many clients dont like using vgen, dont trust it, or dont know what it is, so i have to go through the process of explaining to them what it is
- the stupid UwU bullshit, sorry i hate it i think its unprofessional, im embarrassed my clients have to receive a cringe email, its a nitpick
