For trans people who are worried about accessing care, the Unitarians have a fund to help. If you can, donate. The needs will increase starting www.pinkhaven.org/about/.
alright you wanna know how to support trans people?
hire them. It's REALLY hard already for visibly trans people to get jobs, even before this shit.
Support places that have trans people working front of house, and make sure owners know that's part of why you're there.
Today's action (#7) Read a book that inspires action toward justice. Invite three or four friends to read it with you and discuss. My choice is Beautiful Souls by Eyel Press.
Today's action (day 6). Passed on to me from Marcia Szymanski:
Call the Governor and asked them to continue issuing full birth certificates to all babies born in the state (to help guarantee birthright citizenship).
Today's Action: Call two local immigrant aid organizations to see what they need and get on their lists for support/volunteer. This is the action for day 4.
In case you hadn't noticed, I'm posting an action a day. One that can be done easily and privately. This is not a replacement for larger organizing efforts but in addition. Nobody can do everything but everyone can do something. This is day 3.
Today's action: make donations. I've never done recurring/auto donations before. Today, I'm signing up to give regularly to a human rights org, an immigrant aid org, and a nonprofit news org.

When you use Pharisee as a slur but try to say itโs not antisemitic itโs like arguing that saying โthatโs so gayโ as an insult but not intending to refer to same sex love is magically thus not actually homophobic or harmful to queer people.

For the newbies, one of the great features on here is that when someone has tried to quote-post dunk on you, hit the โฆ and select โdetach quoteโ and nobody will see the post or who wrote it and they will look like an asshole. (Blocking works like this too.)
What are we reading for Lent this year?
Iโm doing the adoption process through the Society for Humanistic Judaism.
Iโm curiousโhow does one convert to humanistic Judaism if there are no such congregations in the area? (Asking for a friendโme.)
I feel this, too. Itโs so interesting how similar our stories are. Iโm in my last Intro to Judaism class right now and hoping to convert Reform.

Good for you! Iโm still perched on the precipice of whether to convert to Judaism or not. Iโd love to see where your journey takes you.
