The playing field is very different for Black authors of every genre trad pub, self pub, etc than it is for white authors. No one who benefits from this system is really talking about this I see.

I feel people are so scared to offend Black people, or so uncomfortable with truths they’d rather not face about their own people’s histories that they skate around talking about the privilege you inherit simply by being white.
