It's literary fiction, set in Australia with a focus on female characters.
This is my first novel, so I'm not really in a position to give tips - working it out as I go!
I don't score any bonus points, but The Trauma Cleaner by Sarah Krasnostein is an excellent Australian audiobook biography about a trans woman.
Thanks! Not open to beta readers. Cheers.
First draft DONE!!! Wooohoooo!!! π₯
Looking forward to a few weeks of forgetting about my novel before jumping back into working on the second draft.

I wish I had an answer! I guess it depends what you think about the work when you read it now.
Andy Jackson - Human Looking
Andy is a incredible Australian poet who writes about disability, and a lovely person too!
It's bizarre going back to the start of the first draft of the novel and seeing a caricature of the character you have come to know and love (through writing the whole story) behaving in all the wrong ways.
That's what second drafts are for!

That's brave. I'm making my husband wait until I have the first draft done!
Good luck π
Hi. It's still a WIP!
Mine is literary fiction. What genre is yours?
Great work! I'm in regional Victoria, where are you??
A fictional story set in an Australian caravan park π
I did it! A 10,000 word writing week. Now I'm within spitting distance of the end of my first draft. Feels good.

A message to self doubt:
Maybe what I'm writing is a load of crap that will never see the light of day, but I'm going to finish it, no matter what you say.

I like Google Docs. Using the Headings fonts you get an organised link/list along the side of the doc that is tiered according to which heading you chose. And you can also add a clickable contents section to the top of the doc.
A glass of wine?
Very relatable. My boss (me) can be a bit full on at times, but she also lets me watch YouTube videos in between writing sprints, so that's nice.

Wow, so many words. I've only fired a couple of my Chekov's guns so far, looking forward to firing the rest in the coming weeks, but I'm glad yours all went off!
Congratulations, that's huge! π
Beautifully written and explained. One symptom of the flawed system is the concept of "anything is possible" which I find to be frustratingly inaccurate. Some things are possible, some are not, and that's ok.
I did it! My first 2,000 word day of writing. May there be more to come.
