Got Valkyria Chronicles Remastered for $3 the other day & am starting it. Always was mildly interested in this series thanks to Project X Zone introducing me to it & the fact it's a tactical RPG. Even within just the prologue, it certainly is very World War coded. 👀

Rocket the protagonist of the Slime Mori Mori trilogy. SMM2 was the only one localized under the name Rocket Slime. This brave Slime fights in epic tank battles to defeat the Plob, a gang of Platypunk, in order to save Princess Gluttonella.

I audibly gasped when a shiny Drilbur showed up. 🩷

He has to be fought multiple times with each fight becoming progressively harder. His final form bears a striking resemblance to Dragonlord from DQ1.

Dragon Quest character of the day #23:
The Lord of the Dragovians from DQ8's post game! He believed his race & humans could never coexist so he casted a spell that made him remain in dragon form but this drains life energy from other Dragovians so the party has to stop him.

Like I'm a big fan of saying あたし (atashi) instead of the standard わたし (watashi) because it's more cutesy. I never use other variations of "I" besides those two but the fact they exist makes it a more diverse and self representative language than English.

Yuji Horii has recently said that a lot of flavor is lost when translating Dragon Quest into English due to language differences such as the lack of "I" variations. The different ways to say "I" in Japanese is actually one of my favorite aspects of the languages so I get this.

Dragon Quest character of the day #22:
Mindini the first character and a mascot character from DQ Tact! She has been transformed into a dog & even a pink fluffy version of Dragonlord before. She also likes dressing up. Additionally, she was once possessed by Rhapthorne from DQ8.

Falcom confirmed the FINAL Trails game will release in 5 years. That's honestly way closer than I expected and has me worried TBH. Horizon 2 is going to have to be locked in and answer a lot on its own while also setting up the finale perfectly.

He sends his 4 minions, the Dread Fiends Murdaw, Jamirus, Gracos, & Dhuran to seal off Alltrades Abby, Cloudsgate Citadel, Medford's Manor, & Sprceria (where Magic Burst user Eldress Isnomor ruled). There's an alt ending if the player asks superboss Nokturnus to kill Mortamor.

Dragon Quest character of the day #21:
Mortamor the main antagonist of DQ6! He tries conquering both the Real & Dream World while also being responsible for the creation of the Dread Realm / Sea of Nothingness. He also manages to kill multiple strong spellcasters such as Isnomor.

Watching the Luxin video on all crossovers Xeno has done made me realize Xenogears and Xenosaga have absolutely no overlap whatsoever in what they crossed over with.

Wart first appeared in Doki Doki Panic, which was reskinned into Mario 2, is considered a Mario character for that reason, yet never shows up in a Mario game again, instead appearing in Zelda Link's Awakening, & having a kid in Animal Crossing. 😅

I think there's occasional hints but the Ishmahri one is the only one I remember being majorly significant. 3DS does add extra Dhoulmagus backstory scenes with him in late game too but not really a hint.

Tonfas and kusarigama gotta be the most underrated weapons. I wish more media had characters use them.

Kalderasha the fortune teller from Farebury in DQ8! He has an adopted daughter named Valentina, his crystal ball helps reveal the original of the antagonist Dhoulmagus, & he helps find the Moonshadow Harp for the Ishmahri quest line.

My ranking of every Life is Strange game and spiritual successor games I've played prior to LiS Reunion dropping. I have a pretty good feeling about Reunion. I'm expecting it to be around Lost Record Bloom & Rage for me.

For International Women's Day they should let all women named Day travel international airlines for free. 🤭

Comparing my ratings for video games, movies, & shows has made me realize I'm very consistent with 7/10 being my most average rating for media buuut I am way more likely to try games I'm unsure I'd like compared to movies or series. Probably just cause it's a more engaging media.
