As usual, this was a fun and spirited discussion w/thoughtful insights and spicy opinions, though my favorite part was when I noted that Becca was unusually attuned to Jacob Elordiβs comings & goings and she responded, βI am and I hate it, I hate being alive!β

*'Be Fri'
Pixar CCO Pete Docter saying his job is to make films that appeal to everybodyβthen canceling 'Best Fri,' a movie about female friendshipsβis really telling about who they think "everybody" is.
Jesse, my Bride of Frankenstein Loungefly, and me. I am also wearing a Nosferatu shirt.
Took my Bride of Frankenstein purse out on a date tonight. Oh, and also my husband. π€

Right!?!
"Hunger & Thirst" wasn't nominated for an Oscar (wasn't eligible?), but I'm holding out hope that Conan will just go ahead and perform it himself.
Promotional image for the Pokemon Fossil Museum, featuring Pikachu wearing a cute lil' excavator outfit a la Dr. Grant in Jurassic Park.
What was I waiting for? No, not Harry Styles at MSG. No, not some limited-run Broadway show with a big star, a la Othello. It was for the PokΓ©mon Fossil exhibit at the Field Museum!

It is 1:49 am and I FINALLY got my tickets!
Yes! Internally consistently logic!

I'm sure there's some polling or something that says "universal daycare" is not popular but "2-K" somehow is because it sounds more educational, but the K is meaningless. Meaningless!
(I love the policy though!!!!)
Pet peeve time:
I understand calling something Pre-K, because it stands for pre-kindergarten.
I understand calling something 3-K, beacause it's cute that it sounds like pre-k and is for 3-year-olds.
But when we start talking about 2-K, what are we even doing here? What does the K stand for?

Update 2: My college roommate had the same sheets! She tracked it down, and it's Marimekko's "Seven Flowers."

Update: My mom found the pillowcase!
The thing about Scream 7 is that the daughter's boyfriend rolls up to the house blaring rock music and sporting frosted tips. That's how you know it's for the olds. If he were a kid of today, he'd have the broccoli cut and he'd be listening to whatever phonk music is.
My favorite part of this is still when we all talked about what we were eating when we watched Train Dreams. ππ¦π¬
We had that recorded on a VHS taped off TV! Possibly before Dumbo? Good memories.
Because of something that happened om Bob's Burgers, I showed the 10yo the video for "Opposites Attract." It completely did NOT play for her, but I think we should bring back duets between people and cartoons!

I'm glad Scream 7 goes back to having a Ghostface that gets knocked around a lot. It's always more fun when that happens!
