The league doesn't actually care about integrity or whatever (besides gambling concerns) but mostly cares about the perception of the games post super bowl and people crying about tanking when the World Wide Leader points it's gaze at the NBA.

There's something about the tanking reforms that I think needs some clarification. Moving the deadline for draft position to the trade deadline (or near) will just change the pressure point for tanking and it'll just happen early in a season.
