It’s not getting much coverage in the news but the school in Minab, Iran that Israel struck with American help and munitions has over 165 murdered. The vast majority are children who were only attending class.
That said, it can last incredibly long with care and is probably some of the most comfortable and luxurious materials to wear!
Honestly, good quality leather clothes are very under appreciated in the mainstream for everyday wear.
We are pretty unique, especially with Yelth really ratcheting up production recently, in that we make our own buckskin. But there are commercial sources available too. Napa Leather sells machine-made, traditional is available from some small shops. The later is very expensive though.

There are more resources on a lot of cultures than we had only a few years ago, and interestingly leggings and breechclout were found pretty widely in Northern Europe for quite a long time (though slightly different approach.)

That said, there isn’t a single modern hunting kit that can compare with traditional. And making everything yourself, including taking deerskin from raw to finished buckskin, is more powerful than most understand.
It is feasible, but can be challenging for a lot of those you would meet on a trail as there can be strong opinions with the public outside gatherings such as a powwow or rendezvous.
Honestly, it’s some of the most comfortable and practical outdoor clothing you can have.
