The entire statement (thanks for providing a link) is largely pragmatic & factual. Yet it should also be deeply embarrassing to have published it: embarrassing for Merz, the CDU, the coalition government and embarrassing for the people of Germany. “We are weak, helpless and have no autonomy.”
Just a reminder it’s been two days since reports came out, later acknowledged by Trump and his Administration, that Russia has been helping Iran to try and kill US military personnel.
