Yes, and I think "escapism" itself is worth interrogating. if stories about, say, fighting for justice aren't "escapism" in unjust times, one may want to ask why? one can "escape" doomerism with resistance. if resistance reminds you of victims and you want to "escape" that, something might be off...

STS1 was in early access a long time, and i think mechanically STS2 has been in development for like 5 years / ever since localization demands froze substantial updates to STS1

it's so good. a lot of "win consistently on a20" knowledge carries over, a lot does it. it's more complex in interesting (instead of game breaking) ways (so far).

and enforcing this when the block is coming through subscribing to a block list is a clear security vulnerability that needs to be fixed!

given that that's actually what happened in this case, that's fucked and @moderation.bsky.app should change it! this is simply a security vulnerability that should be patched for the sake of users.

i hope that at the very least they investigate to make sure people aren't blocking @moderation.bsky.app through a blocked list. if not, it creates a huge vulnerability where someone who controls a popular block list could mass ban users who, say, don't log in for 24 hours.

honestly (and my posting history i think bears this out) if you're not being directly addressed and you don't personally know the poster, 99 times out of 100 you should only post to uplift or contribute to a point someone is making (or to just offer stuff that's explicitly or contextually requested)
