People are mad expecting hype moments and aura, as if the whole second chapter hasn't been basically 90% sad boy hours.
Messaging your friend to come online so you can run sets 3 months later is fine I guess, but it's more compelling to have to organise a Discord-wide defence from the Vikings.
The ranked grind is great for some, but these games do need some kind of alternative reason to get online and play with other people. SF6 Battle Hub is going in the right direction but not exactly perfect.
IMO the best fighting game online mode added in memory was For Honor's factional war map.
