I had half a notion of buying two tickets for Mickey Bubble (1 for me and 1 for A N other) but they are 100yoyos each for the cheapest ticket - I’m not sure if I’ll get one for me never mind another random one!!!

I’ve had Port and for a short while the world isn’t so frightening.
I’ve seen memes online about booking holidays/being in relationships and WWIII - it just trivialises the whole thing and it’s not trivial. The sides of right and wrong seem to be commercial decisions rather than moral ones.
I have to say, as I am outside the UK, I miss BBC sounds - able to go back and listen to things, I miss BBC4 extra so much! I don’t understand why it’s cutting itself off to the world.
Sometimes the hardest thing about starting to read a new book, is finding the right bookmark.
An annoying this has just happened!
I’m clocked in and supposedly working when a book arrives in the post. That is soooo not fair. I’ve to hide it in the other room or else there will be no work done at all.
Couldn’t you just listen to that voice forever.
I’m so pleased with myself - I had planned a “two for” trip to London but I forgot what one of the two was 🤦♀️
I’ve remembered! SO!
The Bayeux Tapestry in the British Museum AND The Agatha Christie exhibition in the British Library.
Yay!!
Eamonn O’Fizzy - that is just too funny!!
I can see ICE outside polling stations picking up folks before they cast their vote ☹️
I know it’s 23:45 on a Sunday night but is it too early to be looking forward to next weekend?
My little mind has just been blown! In honour of the IFTAs and Ciarán Hinds getting the Life Time Achievement Award - I was having a scoot about on the internet - COLD LAZARUS is on channel4 website - I haven’t seen it in YEARS. - I’m soooo happy!!!
#joy
I wish he would, we could do with a bit of light relief these days
Woohoo!!! I have just arrived home from the office in DAYLIGHT!!!
🌈😍
I’ve ordered stuff from the library and am now waiting for the notification to say it’s available. It’s like being a child waiting for Christmas! I’m so excited 😆
Oh I was so annoyed with myself! But heyho. I’m sure there’s a lesson in there and it’s probably- don’t trust the hanger size, double check the tags too - normally I do but ARGH!!!
I’m not fit to be left out on my own!! I had 2 items to be exchanged. In both cases I still managed to make a bags out of it! One I managed a slight rescue on but the other will have to be exchanged YET AGAIN!
There’s a lot of swearing going on in my head right now.
When it comes to tick box exercises- my new Choose Your Own Adventure Christmas Crime book has hit the jackpot!
I’ve just been listening to an audiobook. It’s being read by Eleanor Bron and it’s wonderfully delicious.
Let the commute begin 🤓📖
It’s very quiet in the office so I could probably get away with desk reading but I also need to get stuff done - 3cheers for a 70/80 minute commute!
Talk about bad timing - I am hitting a point in a book that demands I keep reading- but I’m in the office and lunchtime is over 😭
I hate having to make culinary decisions!
Should I have my hot cross buns with tea or coffee?
I need to win the lottery - Leica cameras are expensive 😂
Last Thursday I got a text to say a parcel had arrived and would be delivered the next working day - well luckily I was working from home that day but of course it didn’t arrive, it didn’t arrive yesterday when I was working from home. Naturally it is coming today ‘cause I’m in the office.
I never exactly figured out mastodon. But for that kind of thing I am happy with here. The ubiquitous of FB has destroyed so much.
I know I have one, but is there any activity on it?
I just logged into LJ - 28 alerts telling me everybody's blog has a birthday/anniversary/achievement - it seems mine was 23 last week. I have to say I still really miss LJ after all these years - I mean how to shaft a social network in a few small steps.
Finally watched “That They Might Face The Rising Sun” based on the book by John McGahern.
A lot of silence, very slow and yet strangely compelling.
I’d be interested to see how it’s conveyed in the book.
