Follow up to LRT, anyone who says Kraftwerk had more influence over techno than Pfunk and disco is out their god damn mind. Juan Atkins explicitly stated he was trying to make his version of Pfunk tracks with Cybotron

techno was born in detroit, michigan. the sound was popularized and pioneered by the belleville three, comprising of derrick may, juan atkins, and kevin saunderson. it will piss me off to no end when people insist to me that techno was and has always been from germany. you. are. wrong.
