Have you tried Galileo Galilei? Itβs by the same designer as SETI and I think itβs an even better game

This board game is amazing!
It's super complicated and VERY true to the science. Every astrobiologist board game geek should get a copy! I'm SO impressed at the research behind this game.
I would LOVE to review this game! Anyone know how/where I could do that?

If you write or use research software, ASCL is here to help others find it, use it, and cite it.
The C++ library provides input/output, basic spatial operations such as conversion between spherical coordinates and HEALPix pixels, and also sophisticated spatial operations such as querying cones or polygons, as well as upsampling/downsampling, smoothing, and fast spherical harmonic

This sounds very doom-ish but SciX works great for astro, I have made the switch entirely from ADS and haven't lost any function or speed. π (would be interested in hearing about usage in other fields)
Virtual Astronomy Software Talks comes early this month!
Come (virtually) hear about Julia in Astro tomorrow, with 2 talks focusing on Julia:
Paul Barrett: JuliaAstro
Paul Tieda: Comrade.jl
show starts at 11am US East Coast time

I'm happy to report that "Scenario 2" won't be necessary, as NASA has just communicated to us that SciX funding will continue in 2026 (albeit at a reduced level). Therefore, we will not be forcing astronomers to leave ADS, but rather develop a plan that allows a longer transition.
Is it an early Thanksgiving miracle?! Kind of feels like one!
