Tbf I only clocked it when, thanks to a foodie housemate, I became quite adept in the kitchen and realised none of the recipes the Guardian were publishing by her made any sense, and clearly nobody was checking them. I used to quite like her angry schtick on Twitter.

Think the Simon Hattenstone piece was as close as anyone will get. She pretty much vanished after that so it's a non-story now, but it was an extraordinarily successful grift during the 2010s. Very much like the Captain Tom story.

They're great, and they're a LOT better live than they were a couple of years ago when they arrived quite raw. Obviously been working very hard.

Agreed! I think they deleted other scenes with the soldiers as there was no sign of them arriving by raft, which you can see in the trailer, so their introduction just felt a bit jarring.

I'm quibbling though. Overall it was classic Boyle, and Dr Kelson is the best character since Jim.

Just watched it in Exeter.

A triumph, I thought. Bit choppy in parts (soldiers felt like an afterthought) but given how cherished Days is, to successfully take the series off in a new direction is inspired.

Bonkers last five minutes. Perhaps the weirdest ending to a movie I've ever seen. Loved it.

Trail of Dead at their peak were absolutely fearsome and Source Tags deserved that 10.0 and still holds up today. Nothing they did ever matched it, but what could?! Madonna is still a sensational album too.

There's surely no chance SpaceX will retire Dragon, the contracts with NASA will be rock solid, but the fact this is even happening should give pause to those who cheer on a monopoly under the control of one person.

I mean, SpaceX clearly won't do this but the fact Musk can even threaten it proves why cheering on a monopoly under the control of one man was (and still is) stupidity of the highest order.

"I love commercial space but I'm cheering on a monopoly" has always been a curious position for Berger. I just wish SX's competitors hadn't given him so much material to run with.
