The tariff-driven inflation that economists feared begins to emerge Inflation rose last month to its highest level since February as President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs push up the cost of a range of goods, including furniture, clothing, and large appliances.

Inflation is starting to increase as businesses have run out of pretariff inventory and new tariffs are set to begin August 1st. Americans were promised lower prices, but tariffs will bring back inflation and hurt Americans in our pocketbooks.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend an event at the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma as a member of the Tulsa Regional Chamber. Today, I was invited to tour the Owasso Community Resources food pantry. Too many Oklahomans are going hungry.

It was a pleasure to talk to all of the amazing women at the Heart of the Party Meeting last night! There was a great deal of enthusiasm last night and that gives me hope we can change things in Oklahoma and across America in 2026. Thank you to Alex Poppe for sharing her story about USAID!
