My Heights bout to be Wuthered af
Karaoke fills my soul.
Love music.
Love my friends.
Love mixing those two things together.
I think itβs hands down the best movie made in the last decade
Just found out Portrait of a Lady on Fire is playing at my neighborhood theatre tonight.
Very tempted to bail on my karaoke plans and give up on my βNo Movies Dry Januaryβ at the finish line π¬
Actively going to church for the first time in decades today outside of weddings and funerals. Who would have thought
Watching Stranger Things season 5 the last few weeks.
Only scene Iβve loved was with Nancy & Jonathan in episode 6.
Thereβs some good stuff with Robin, Steve & Dustin, Lucas & Max too.
Just went to press play on the finale, saw that it was 2h 8m, and said aloud βoh, fuck you.β
Fuck ICE. Soulless, cowardly pieces of shit.
Sentimental Value is easily one of the best things Iβve seen all year. Renate Reinsve continues to be astounding in everything she does.
Marty Supreme has soooo much energy and was even more madcap than I was expecting. A ton of fun.
In between I went for a hike with my pup!
Doing my Dry January of no movies theatrically in Jan.
So spending the next 6 days seeing everything I still want to see in theatres that I havenβt yet (plus Avatar again)
Today catching a 9:35 AM showing of Sentimental Value & seeing Marty Supreme tonight with some friends.
Hit up the movie theatre with some friends the last few days for some Xmas cheer
Bummed Iβm in PA for the week this is happening. Would have loved to catch OBAA a second time in 70mm IMAX in Dallas, especially with this Odyssey prologue.
Oh well, Iβm grateful to have seen it even once in that format
Lmao my mom just texted me telling me she just watched Cocaine Bear
I donβt always post film thoughts on Twitter but my Letterboxd is always up to date, including the stuff I watch at home as opposed to just in theatres

Die My Love - Caught a late showing earlier tonight. Wanted to see it before it left theatres. So glad I did. One of my favorites of the year. A spiritual successor to mother! in so many weird ways. (Break that sink, Jennifer!) Lawrence is tremendous. Pattinson great as usual.
Predator: Badlands - Finally got around to seeing this earlier this afternoon. The best of Trachtenbergβs Predator films, and probably the best Predator since the original. Itβs impossible not to love Elle Fanning.
Keeper - Saw this last night. Very different from what the trailers had me thinking it would be. In the first act I thought that was a bad thing. By the final act I was completely on board. Maslany crushes this. Would pair well with Von Trierβs Antichrist.
Roofman - Thankfully less of a comedy than the trailers made it out to be. Fit well in Cianfranceβs ouvre; Tatum does a great job of a man reckoning with his shortcomings as a man and a father.
Jason X - Did a weird double feature and saw this right after Glass Onion. Fun to see with a crowd. I feel like Iβm in the minority but this is one of my favorite Friday the 13 movies.
Glass Onion - Saw this in theatres the day after catching a press screening of Wake Up Dead Man. Cements it as my least favorite of three incredible movies we donβt deserve to even have. Long live Benoit Blanc! Keep βem coming, Rian & Daniel.
Wake Up Dead Man - The new Benoit Blanc outing rivals the original Knives Out in quality. A caper holding a magnifying glass up to the blending of identities of religious leaders and influencers, and the bankrupt morality that comes from that. Absolutely loved this.
Christy - Another biopic that snuck up on me and blew me away. Sweeneyβs best work Iβve seen. Proof positive she can act outside of contemporary teen/young woman roles. Plus, Christy Saltersβs story is incredible.
Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere - Knew this got a lukewarm response so was expecting a by-the-numbers biopic but I loved this raw, emotional exploration the artistic process takes in facing emotional trauma.
Bugonia - Yorgos gonna Yorgos. Stone is great in this, Plemons is GREAT in this. A lot of fun.
The Running Man - Disappointed. Didnt feel like a Wright movie. Powell is an amazing character actor forced into leading man roles that donβt fit (except when working with Linklater).
Ok so Iβve been out living life and shit (went hiking at the Grand Canyon!) so mostly just lurking in Twitter instead of posting about stuff.
Thereβs been a severe lack of movie tweeting in my part, so hereβs movies Iβve seen at the theatre the last few weeks, & brief thoughts:
Speaking of One Battle After Anotherβ¦ itβs back in IMAX in my city this weekend so I saw it again today. Not 70mm, but I wonβt look a gift horse in the mouth
Saw Richard Linklaterβs latest, Blue Moon, yesterday. Absolutely loved it. Ethan Hawke gives an amazing performance that takes up nearly every moment of screen time. Probably my favorite of the year besides One Battle After Another.

55. The Toxic Avenger Part III: The Last Temptation of Toxie (1989)
Toxie becomes a yuppie and fights the Devil. These movies continue to be a ridiculous treat.

54. Good Boy (2025)
Extremely engrossing. An all-timer animal performance. Knowing how this was filmed makes it all the more impressive.

53. The Haunting (1963)
Halloween night. Dinner and karaoke with friends. Great seeing a bunch of people in costumes in the arts district. A ton of fun.
Capped off an incredible Halloween with a viewing of my favorite spooky movie. Perfect.
