That's a killer run. I'd go to The Stand, Different Seasons, and Under the Dome.
βEvery hour so many damn things in the sky! How in hell did those bombers get up there every single second of our lives! Why doesnβt someone want to talk about it! Weβve started and won two atomic wars since 2022! Is it because weβre having so much fun at home weβve forgotten the rest of the world? Is it because weβre so rich and the rest of the worldβs so poor and we just donβt care if they are? Iβve heard the rumors; the world is starving, but weβre well fed. Is it true, the world works hard and we play? Is that why weβre hated so much? ... Maybe the books can get us half out of the cave. They just might stop us from making the same damn insane mistakes!β
Midway through Fahrenheit 451, we learn that the U. S. government has launched a series of unprovoked wars against smaller countries, just because it can, while the population is so hypnotized by amusements & devices that hardly anyone knows the wars are taking place.
I finally lost my shit about so-called AIs, LLMs, enshittification & everything fucking evil that @officialgrammarly.bsky.social is doing. I'm fucking furious, and not just about what 1 company has done. An open letter to Grammarly & the rest of the LLM hype machine www.moryan.com/an-open-lett...
Hahahaha this poster. But YES, it was fucking scary! I saw it alone in the theater and basically ran out when the credits hit cuz I was afraid someone else was hiding in there.
I'm so sorry, MZS. My prevailing sentiment, besides hell yeah to your bookstore, is... bsky.app/profile/blee...
THREAD: I got laid off from NYMag/Vulture after 14 years. The family lost 75% of income + medical. Now mzs.press bookstore, once a side project. is do-or-die for Judith & I. I feel weird telling you this because others are doing much worse. But if you could like or share this, we'd be so grateful!
Ouch, what a wild turn.
Cell is seen as straight to video trash but honestly it's an improvement on the novel for me. One of the few books I almost hated
Yesssss π Mike Flanagan made magic with the film
Oh hell yeah. I was so stoked to find this in a thrift shop in Nashville. I guess our guy Pennywise is popular or something
For sure, it rules. John Cusack, Thomas Jane, Kathy Bates all 3peated too
Yikes. What type of biz?
If you make + share STEPHEN KING THINGS, I implore you to consider NOT using AI. Cute art, LLMs, any of it. Not a subtweet, I'm just not gonna go bother anyone working hard making SK stuff that I love to follow/read/listen to. Just a thought π«Άπ»πΉ
So glad that I've read everything Stephen King has written - it will come in handy 2026 on The Losers' Club podcast - I'm one of The Losers to rank ALL 66 of his novels this year!
Can you guess what ended up in the bottom spot?

it's not right that Wampler is gone
www.empireonline.com/movies/news/...
π oh man, another day where the internet is just totally a waste without Wampler here
ooh this is fun. I'm tagging in Flagg, Father Callahan, Charlie McGee, Abra Stone, Kojak, Oy, everyone in the ka-tet...
Why hasn't there been a Dark Tower RPG yet? WHY? WHY CAN'T I BE A GUNSLINGER?!
Yeah, very personal choice and only when you're ready. You'll get lost, have a blast, get SO much Wampler, elite GMing by Jacob Hall. Looks like eps 1-4 are public starting here podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t... I think you have to hit Patreon if you want the pregame Episode 0 and rest of the saga
It's my least favorite Holly story (one of 3-4 duds), I could definitely offer a roadmap to 3-4 better books starring her, but if you're just starting out with King, that roadmap would not go straight to MUCH more Holly. Not right away.
litrully DYING to know the answer, man
Hell yeah! I had a somewhat similar journey. Read the Tower, read The Talisman, spent years rereading the Tower several times before finally hitting Black House last year. Third one is going to be a big moment!
No one, absolutely no one:
Stephen King: JAHOOBIES
Definitely a tough read but glad you love our girl Holly!
Go on...
