The exhibition will be installed permanently in our Create Place to celebrate the hands that repair and the importance that has for SMH.
That weekend we had:
*Many Hands: Make Mending Matter, audio-visual exhibition capturing people and stories behind acts of repair (curated by Breaks and Joins)
* Darning workshops and screenings of the film ‘Can everything be mended?’
* Repair Cafe (fixing everything from headphones to jumpsuits)
Today is International Repair Day, celebrating the power of repair to build communities, reduce waste and teach new skills.
We’re looking back on the fantastic weekend of activities we organised at the end of #SecondHandSeptember to coincide with our #RepairCafe.
We celebrated repair as resistance.
