Did some karaoke tonight.

I'm convinced, more than ever, that Rock Band parties would heal the world.

When on a first date yesterday, had a good time but at the end she preferred if we stayed friends.

Bummed but I appreciated the honesty .

At the end this was still a good experience, just two adults navigating dating in a respectful way and I did enjoy our brief time.

The Venn diagram of people who both think Peggy Hill from King of the Hill and Louis from Malcolm in the Middle are amazing characters is a full circle and I'm in the middle of it.

I'll even go further and say the ending of Mitm is PERFECT

Gym finally updated the arch route. Really fun, crux got me but I think I can send it next time.

Piecing a climb together just feels so fall satisfying.

And seeing your entire progress is so cool.

I been chasing the "going back home and reading the manual of the videogame your parents just bought you " feeling for most of my adult life.

Ted Season 2 is once again shockingly great.

I think their D&D episode may top Community's.

I been playing #cairn still, loving it, but I got to the Peril wall last week and just got stuck. Could not make progress.

I finally started piecing together a route that worked and last night finally cleared it.

I get Souls-like now.

It's the Internet so I'm not surprised but tonight I learned there's shipping wars in the Resident Evil fan community about who Leon should be with.

I cannot think of a more sexless, non romantic game.

One of the best feeling in a race is passing people in the back half of it.

Not because I was glad that they are struggling, but because it meant that my training strategy had paid off.

Thank you! I been thinking about Blue Ridge Marathon lately, really curious what I could do now with the progress I done since I ran it.

Big PR, almost 30 min from my first one.

Those last 5 miles absolutely destroyed me though. Gotta work on better pacing the 50k. Still got enough to take 3rd in AG!

Plus side, I'll take a 3:36 marathon time on a tough course with tough weather anytime.

Medals aren't that important to me, unless I'm doing a race specifically for a cool medal, but even with that is hard not to be disappointed with these medals.

Such dinky medals for what is a pretty big ( and expensive)race.

Don't get me started on the shirts....

Forecast for weekends 50k looking rough.

Normally I doing carry hydration, just rely on the aid stations, but I'm planning on carrying a water bottle and electrolyte tablets to be safe.

Original goal was 4:15ish but I go for 4:30 to be safe

Haha, to be fair I was running pretty much in zone 4 during that marathon.

My heart rate always been low, even when I wasn't running. Running did make it go down though.

Resting HR often gets to 36. My Garmin sometimes thinks I took a nap if I'm just watching TV lol

I'm not upset by people having preferences in dating as we all do, and you're attracted to what you're atracted to, but it's a bummer to often be reminded how important having hair is to a lot of people.

I done a lot of work on myself but I can't replace the hair.

Always feels it holds me back.

I have a race this Sunday which means that the weekend will be all rest and just staying at home.

And RE9 releases on Friday.......

I just played the Pragmata demo and it sold me on the game.

What a cool concept.

Just told my 10yo daughter about #philspencer. She had tears in her eyes. And then she did the Wakanda pose and said "#philkanda forever" -- which is the sort of pop culture cross-over that I can celebrate.

Mewgenics is a game which when talking about out loud you really gotta make sure to emphasize that first syllable.

Got some looks when I was talking about it with a friend from other non gaming friends.

Hoping back on here to try to talk more about games.

Never clicked with Souls Likes but now I get it.

Took me a bunch of failed attempts to get through this route (I really wanted that doll piece) but when I finally got to a save spot it feel like such an accomplishment

I have never clicked with Souls like but I been LOVING Cairn (specially as someone the climbs irl) and I get it not.

Lost 30 min of progress last night bc I fell like 5 feet from the ground but bounced off the ledge and tumbled down the mountain.

Infuriating but now I knew how to get that far.

Let's talk about TRUE underrated shows. None of this "community" or "arrested development".

Even "Better off Ted" has gotten plenty of love after it went off air.

For me its Grand Crew, a show that deserved way more seasons and Stumble, a show that hopefully gets more seasons.

Been trying to balance my constant need for approval and validation with my role as a group organizer lately.

I think when I make leading my run club look effortlessly people don't realize the effort that it actually takes.

But also I shouldn't expect constant thank yous or external validation

I went from thinking that I may not even run this morning as I was so sick yesterday to cracking sub 3:30 (barely at 3:29).

Can't describe how proud I am right now.

Last night we had a huge showing for my run club.
It always brings me joy to realize that I have had a hand in creating a community for people. First with my meetup group and now with this running group.
