NUJ calls for investment, not cuts in response to Reach full year figures The NUJ has warned that Reach could be becoming “addicted to redundancies” as it urged the company to refrain from seeking further cuts following the announcement of increased profits today.

“Reach is in danger of becoming addicted to redundancies and some time soon, cuts must turn into lasting investment", said the NUJ Reach group chapel.

Members called for pay that "restores the corrosion of years of sub-inflation increases."

Israel: five Palestinian media platforms banned amid crackdown The NUJ has joined the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) in condemning the Israeli government’s ban on five Palestinian online media platforms reporting on events in Jerusalem.

Anthony Bellanger, IFJ general secretary, said: “The Israeli government’s decision to ban these five Palestinian media outlets covering Jerusalem represents a significant escalation in efforts to restrict media pluralism and control the narrative."

Kearney said:
