Or how about Saltsea Chronicles? Die Gute Fabrik did SUCH cool worldbuilding in this climate adventure. I love all the characters too.

Between Horizons! A point-and-click detective game where you're the head of security on a generation ship going through political upheaval long before it's reached its destination. Super emotional, you can get the whole case WRONG, I love it.

I think the thing that drives me super crazy is when people are like "what if you could ask NPCs about ANYTHING" and fanfiction exists and is free to both write and read
there is a part of this book where Simon talks about how he uses his dog to get through social situations - if she's there, he needs to mind her, and if she isn't, he just talks about her a lot and shows pictures
which is also, incidentally, how I get through social situations but with my cat
happy international women's day at a previous job (many moons ago) I got pulled aside twice and told I talked too much in meetings
If you actually need to know what it's about: Simon & Charlie have been co-stars on a hit sci-fi TV show for seven years. Simon is considering leaving the show just as an article comes out that he's Difficult to Work With, so he convinces Charlie to fake a friendship with him and then FEELINGS.
Cover of the book Star Shipped by Cat Sebastian. Done in an old comic strip style, a blonde man in a red t-shirt and jeans is leaning in to kiss a black-haired man in a white button down & slacks who is sitting in a director's chair on a movie set.
Hi I need to scream about Star Shipped by Cat Sebastian because she decided to write a bitchy main character who has both crippling anxiety & migraines AND is only willing to attend social gatherings if a dog is there and now I will never be okay ever again.
(I'll be hitting my 10-year anniversary of joining the industry in September and am trying very hard not to think about it!!!)
Happy it was so hard to narrow it down to 9. Since joining gamedev I've worked really hard to play more games, and now I have so many I love!

yeah I often hate the term "high functioning" because of how it suggests as long as you're Productive no one needs to worry about you
I see them too, I think it's prob just because the furries found Bluesky first XD
Twelfth Night! Gimme "woman must pretend to be man for dubious reasons, throwing everyone into a bisexual panic" and I will eat it up every time
they can pry y'all from my cold dead hands
it's faster to type! I like the way it sounds!
I actually really liked the Nimona film. The graphic novel is phenomenal, but I liked the way the film expanded the world and the voice performances were really great.
I really liked the demos for Phonopolis, Titanium Court, and People of Note.
Also I just started playing The Seance of Blake Manor and it really is as fun as everybody says.
Just trying to follow the advice "if you like something, let people know."
I love her so much
so THAT'S where they go when you kick 'em out of the spaceship???
Trans people are awesome, actually
wait I thought that was all conspiracy theory-ing did something happen to confirm she's not coming back?
happy birthday!!
yuuuuup
<33333 Completely agreed. Thanks Xalavier.
Hi, AAA dev here. This is a sucky take and I wish people would stop pitting gamedevs against each other.
it really is T_T
I used to give it like 50-100 pages, depending on the length of the book, but these days I DNF things for absolutely random mood-related reasons and it can happen as soon as page 1 even if someone recommended it lol
sometimes my bluesky feed is a #mood
"Regardless of my opinion, I canβt help but be impressed by the process that brought this into existence."
Can you really not help it? Because it was easy as hell for me to do
The thesis seems to be that because this man made a lot of money, that gives his use of genAI & stereotypes merit
