develop my own games, etc. I’m so excited for this new era and I think this will all help me appreciate games more than I ever have 😌 I don’t expect anyone to read this long rant lol I just wanted to get it all out for myself, but if you did read it I hope some of this resonates with you! 🩶

I’m only going to play new releases that I’m genuinely excited for, not just to keep up with trends. No matter what, I’m still a gamer. And from now on I’m going to use my love for games to fuel my dedication to other hobbies! I’m finally going to learn programming, art, get into voice acting,

I’ve decided that this is not how I want gaming to be for me anymore. So I’m making changes. I’m not going to care about finishing my backlog anymore, I’m going to play whatever games I feel like playing, whenever I feel like playing them.

And on top of all of this, gaming has turned from something that helps me unwind & recharge, into an addiction. I’ve set aside or ignored other hobbies I want to get into and only spend my free time trying to keep up with new game releases, finish my backlog, etc

(toxic may be a strong word but) I’ve been rushing through games just so I can play as many new and old titles as possible so I can feel like a “true gamer”. I obsess over finishing my backlog, completing every game I play (even if I end up not enjoying it), 100%ing games just to prove myself

It’s a common misconception that ADHD is just an inability to focus. Really, it’s a struggle to control focus.

I can hyperfixate for hours on complex but pointless tasks and freeze on simple tasks.

Some days, my brain’s a Lamborghini with no brakes. Other days, a rusty bike with a stuck chain.

I love being able to come onto my timeline and see people be EXCITED about games and just talking about games they love.
