Public Power is Affordability.
That’s what @a2publicpower.bsky.social aims to do.

Maybe it’s a good time to think about public power. They are generally more reliable.

Is that the Guardian?
The gift link doesn’t seem to be working. It keeps asking me to create an account.
The board itself won’t be seated until after 2028 elections.
State law requires a 60% approval in a vote to take over. The board can’t do that until that vote but after the vote it can. The charter language is written for the possibility that the city votes yes. In the mean time the board could do things like run the second feasibility study with a budget.
Let’s see them let our street get fixed first.
See my other comments. They have in the past blocked neighborhood pedestrian access to Woodbury Park and have been blocking the city from repairing our streets (Coler and Aditya) and water lines.
Maybe that’s what they think they can do for now. Given Woodburys past actions against the local neighborhood, it’s hard for me to trust them.
I just can’t trust that yet. Maybe I will get there at some point.
In Europe don’t they have street cars shared with cars?
Sadly Packard to downtown is too narrow for a dedicated bus lane right?

This is what @a2publicpower.bsky.social what’s to do too!
I have experience with Woodbury including blocking road repair and blocking pedestrian access to city parks that makes me mistrust that TC1 with conditions would hold.
I googled it to see what it looks like.

Will these be legal in the new comprehensive land use plan?
Maybe I need more information on cottage cul de sacs or whatever they are called. A house was recently built on our street and it’s larger but not that big so that can’t be illegal.
What is illegal specifically? Small homes on residential lots?
They means the city planned to fix our streets but have been blocked by Woodbury.
To be clear Woodbury is preventing the city from fixing our streets.
They won’t let the city redo the water lines cause it would affect their property.
So there is a history that causes my mistrust.
In the past they also blocked pedestrian access to Woodbury Park. It took Marcia Higgins who used to be on council to take that fence down.
