This month I'll be focusing on The Burmis Tree, a 700+ year old limber pine that is located along the Crowsnest Highway. It is said to be one of the most photographed trees in the world.

I have stacks photographs taken in the Gardens between 1996-2006. I have two larger paintings planned, but I'll also be doing a few 8" x 10" paintings of the smaller details, those little sparks of magic that made this place so special to me.
The location I'm focusing on this month for my Wild Patches Project is the Devonian Gardens. I spent many hours there during high school and college. I was also married there in 1996. This is what's left of that beautiful wild place. I am so grateful I experienced it before it was "renovated".
