Ok Swifties, question re: Taylor's versions. My 4yo just discovered that she loves her work and I've been putting those on her playlist. If I'm not streaming them for myself and there's no money in it, can I still personally prefer the original mixes of the few songs I do know?

Pokemon Pocket problems: what I NEED is one (1) copy of Gengar to finish out my Mewtwo theme deck. What I HAVE is four (4) copies of Gengar EX that don't count. Implement the trade function already!

I wish there was a Pokemon Pocket equivalent for mtg. Not Arena, because I don't care as much about playing, but I enjoy the collecting vibes.

Started reading The Expanse (book one: Leviathan Wakes). Don't know what exactly I had been expecting, but it's quite a bit better than that. No plans to watch the show yet, probably not until I'm done reading everything.

My eternal Sisyphean curse is to constantly develop TTRPG campaigns I'll never get to run. There need to be at least six more days in a week.

For a long time now, I've subscribed to the belief that the truest metric of the strength of the American economy is how many pierogies come in this box. Usually it's 13 or 14.

Today it was only 12. The economy is never good when it's only 12.

For context, the last time I paid off a car loan was in early 2017, the month after I finished paying off my college loans. That was a humongous burden being lifted. This time is me wanting to buy a better car before having to renew the registration on my current one. Also I don't like it.

Note: the following sentiment is coming from a place of pretty significant privilege.

Feels a lot different to pay off a car loan in full when it *doesn't* represent a tremendous chunk of your income. I'm not let down exactly, but I feel like I should be more pleased?

This is how you become a writer: just pick one of the things that is deeply wrong with you. Make it a character. Now send it on a self-help journey or try to kill it. Now call it a book.

Pause for lunch time aside, I think I've found a decent balance for my focus between D3 and writing. Had a couple of scenes poop into my head unbidden, so that definitely helps.

Hey remember how I started writing the other day, and then didn't write yesterday? I'm gonna write again today.

Given that my only exposure is via the main feed here, how long until I'm a Swiftie by association? Feels like every third post I see is related to that fandom. I'm happy they have what seems like a pretty decent community, but it's not really my scene.

Future me will probably vehemently deny this in the moment, but Present me is low key looking forward to making the Thanksgiving meal this year. Gonna try to get a little fancy. Like spatchcocking the bird and making my own stock fancy.
