I grew up going to a library every day after school and never fell behind with reading. But, as someone who struggled in other areas of schooling, I know how ostracizing it is to feel behind your peers. Reading is knowledge and knowledge is power for our future.
I’m trying to feed into my community where I can. As such, I’m apart of a group aiding students in reading comprehension. It’s a local Grand Rapids Public School that’s considered “high need.” Even if you only have 2.5-3 hours a week, you can make a difference. Reach out if you want more info!
