Combine this with reporting that says the Trump White House is suppressing the alarmingly elevated threat of terrorism on American soil right now. As long as he and his family are safe, do you think he cares about the rest of America?

Hegseth thinks every question is a chance to give an arrogant and flowery lecture that will make him sound like he’s qualified to do his job, despite having less experience and training than any SECDEF ever. I can’t imagine what it’s like for the military to take orders from this smug show pony.
