Unpopular opinion but literary trope can be exhausted If it's being written badly often. Tropes reflect reality and when a trope gets TOO removed from reality as just a cog in 'Fun machine', the catharsis is gone. Catharsis comes from the feeling of truth, not just snappy writing. #writing
