We've had a fully functional demo of our Advance Wars style game, 'Skies of Chaos: Battlefields' for a while. But I might re-do the maps in 3d/lowpoly, but keeping the 2d sprites. Needs something more to visually stand out π§π€. #pixelart #gamedev #indiedev

Did a quick and rough test dropping the test animations on top of the static scene. Hard to see in this, but on a big screen it looks really nice and lush. I reckon I am going to work this up further. #pixelart #gamedev

I wanted to test out how my assets might look with a nice wind shader driving movement. I'm not a programmer so I mocked it up in after effects instead π Would be more subtle if properly implemented, but gives a sense of how the assets could work. #pixelart #gamedev #indiedev

Just a closed demo for publishers at the moment, but that might change in the future. Itβs very functional but also quite rough and early so not much to see!

Analogue pocket is great. Ended up starting a fairly large gba, gb, gbc collection! But also seconding the Retrotink! After picking up a 4kCE I then grabbed a Saturn, Psx and PS2 and have been loving playing them on big screen. Was an awesome purchase!
Cheers! I did the foolish thing of referencing an existing online image for some ww2 signs! Though its from a uk prop company so probably their bad translation! history-making.com/product/ww2-... . I would definintely get a proper translater to go over any signs at a later point!
Next up is to figure out a design for the player character!

I managed to create a pbr at last.. kind of... though not quite sure my normal map is doing what I want! but thats enough for today! too much stuff to learn! π π«
Itβs a 32x32px tileset and quite chonky! So can indeed look a bit hd when zoomed out!
