This struggle has long since gone beyond the merely political; it's a threat to democracy, once again from fascists (and oligarchs). I'm pretty sure most of my fellow veterans wish the wars they fought had such moral clarity.

So what? 'DEI' has become a liability for job seekers. Re-formulating to fit the times obscures the far greater crime of a regime that demonizes an arguably useful concept.

Braved a stroll to ground zero of "war-riddled" Portland (ICE detention center). Here are some of the menacing people threatening us Portlanders. THANK YOU, Mr. President, for protecting us from this dangerous situation!!

This so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" is vile, irredeemable and immoral. It takes from the neediest to enrich the least deserving. It's an emarrassment. History will not be kind to anyone who supports this bill.

It's a lot harder to be indecent and unkind.

Stop saying "Trump" did this or that; instead, attribute actions to "Republicans." This will make it harder for locally elected officials to defend behavior to constituents.

I was 12 when I learned that the best way to shut a bully up is to literally punch him in the face. Scary? You bet. Necessary? Ditto. If you in congress can't do it then get another job.

When I was 12, I silenced a bully by literally punching him in the face. I was afraid, but I did it anyway. Gave me a very wide berth from then on.

Judging from the turnout in downtown Portland, LOTS of people are pissed. It's no wonder; one guy is trying to undo what has taken the rest of us almost 250 years to build.

This whole discussion about whether this is classified or not is beside the point. As a combat veteran, would I respect Hegseth's judgment? Absolutely not. He's demonstrated to me that he's not someone I'd follow.

It’s one of the smartest things they could do. They don’t have to leave D. Just post here first and engage.

They never engage there. They can actually talk to people here. And yes there are republicans and independents on here.

Many Republicans hate Toxicity too.

This is how our government has been corrupted:Β

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office.Β
2) Elected officials rewrite the rules in the donors' favor.Β
3) Donors make a huge profit.Β
4) Repeat.

For the sake of democracy, we must get Big Money out of politics.

You don't "fall prey" to disinformation; you accept it because you are either lazy or stupid. The solution is to make people care about the truth. How? I don't know-- but open to thoughts.

Correction: Misinformation and disinformation won the election--resoundingly.

This is what fear looks like. Make a conscientious decision that there are principles you'll never compromise. Otherwise you'll live with it forever.

I am such a believer in this. Down-ballot is the way.

It’s also how we build a sustainable future of good leaders and infrastructure to elect and support them, as well as the movements they represent.

We don’t just need strong candidates. We need strong organizers, managers, CoS, grassroots, etc.

The only way a functioning democracy works is to show up fully, as who you actually are. Anyone unwilling to be accountable should not be included in the conversation. Simple as that.
