See, this is why I hate that there's SO many different sources for info, cause Fandom says that Ishgardian aren't much removed from Wildwood, while the xiv consolegameswiki mentions exactly what you say here. I think the issue is the Fandom wiki covers non-XIV games as well, so there's info bloat...

Haykrii was born with poorer than average vision in her right eye, and it got worse after an incident in SHB. Anything further than 10ft away is probably super blurry for that eye, but with her monocle she's got close to average vision for a Wildwood Elezen, maybe slightly less than average honestly

Half of the reason she grew up concealing her face is because her father thought she was so beautiful she would cause a war. 💀 Logically she knows she is to most, but is still not sure how to react when someone says it outright

Hay is my 99% straight girl but some of my other OCs fluctuate in gender identity & attraction/sexuality
