I have created a diorama of the Partridge family attacking the Brady Bunch family. My life is very boring.

Though it has its issues overall I am enjoying Starfleet Academy. S.A.M. is one of my favorite characters. I do wish they would get away from every other humanoid species as "spectacle" though.

Yes, I knew I had at least one white ancestor in my lineage. Chattel slavery doesn't happen without rape. What I wasn't prepared for was all this information to still be out there somewhere where I could access it.

Then you realize that all of the hints showing up on ancestry dot com where a white person has your last name with a slightly different last spelling isn't just a mistake. It is the white descendants of the slave owner

That point in your genealogy research as a Black man when you reach the plantation that one of your ancestors was enslaved at...and it bears your last name

I know part of my duty, regardless of what this administration is doing in terms of stripping Black history from American history, is to make sure that their stories continue to get told

I am thankful to have shared space with all of my aunts from my maternal side. They are the repositories of my family history. People read about he Great Migrations, Jim Crow, etc. I learned this history directly from their mouths.

Lost another aunt on my maternal side. Elsie Gray Born in 1932. I have two aunts left on that side (there were no uncles). My mother's twin sister Darlene Dryer (born 1935) and my Aunt Bonnie Nelson (born 1943).
