I've been fighting this shit since I was a teenager in the '80s. With a few exceptions, things have just gotten worse. I'm tired.

Especially ironic coming from a religion that insists that you must beat your children.

It helped me to put the Biblical fairy tales in context: whatever the people around them were doing, the Hebrew priests had to label as wrong or demonic. Or to take their creation myths and retcon them to fit with whatever the Hebrews believed.

Supposedly the same god who demanded Abraham murder his son. The fact that he said, "Never mind! That was just a test" at the last minute didn't make it OK; in fact, it made him seem even more cruel.
