Exactly. They don't read anything that might hold their leaders accountable. Same hands clutching Bibles voted for a rapist. Same lips quoting the Constitution gutted voting rights. The Epstein files are just another thing they'll pretend doesn't exist until it's convenient.

Christian Nationalists are treating the Epstein files like they treat their Bibles and our Constitution: They are *ignoring* them.

Humility, grace, and compassion. Great. Now try those on the people getting evicted, the kids eating free lunch or the families watching their trans kids lose rights. Platitudes don't fill stomachs or stop fascism. Govern like their lives depend on it. Because they do.

Anderson Cooper is leaving his role as a correspondent on CBS News’s 60 Minutes after nearly 20 years with the program. He will not renew his CBS contract and is stepping away from that role. We hope more continue this trend it’s hard not to see CBS as state-run media.

i really think that the worst thing about this era of politics is that we're so far from even basic liberalism that i have to actively argue FOR liberal ideals before i can even begin to touch on socialism

Liberalism is the new radicalism. That's how fast the Overton window slammed shut. We're begging for FDR while they're building Gilead. And centrists still wonder why we're angry.
