The fun (or whatever) thing if he said this is that it's probably equally likely that someone actually did tell Trump this as part of a successful effort to manipulate him - or that it's just something he made up just because it sounded good to him.

To be fair, at current tech this does sound somewhat easier than building a time machine, going back, and *not* tearing up a perfectly effective treaty preventing Iran from trying to go nuclear in the first place. Probably.
