Don't know what I'm trying to say with this. I just really like drawing monkeys, and my monkey specifically. She's changed so much! Have some older pics because I'm so proud of how my art and way of drawing them has improved.

But still where everyone finds it hard or doesn't even try to understand primate behavior or communication I still can put myself in their grabby feet. I am still perceived as weird and different often, too. People also assume things about me and don't make an effort to understand me either.

I found connection in the way people treated them as uncanny, ugly and weird. Specially at the time in the fandom, when I was around 19 and recently out of a bullying situation that lasted years. I don't find that same sentiment often anymore, and I don't feel that way about myself often either.

I remember being asked why I picked a monkey fursona and I will admit it even though it had a lot to do with how much I love primates it also had to do with how uncanny they are to many people.

I draw myself without glasses more and more but do not think I'm using lenses or cured in any way. I'm still the most short sighted person on earth I just can't feel confident on myself with my gigantic glasses on.
