Another journalist asks whether Kirk's death represents a "watershed moment" for the US. "This is a watershed moment, but we don't yet know what kind," Cox replies. He says this moment "feels a lot like the late 60s" and describes social media as a "cancer", adding that humans are not "biologically capable of processing... violent imagery". He encourages people to "log off, turn off, touch grass, hug a family member, go out and do good in your community". "This our moment. Do we escalate or do we find an off-ramp? it's a choice, and every one of us gets to make that choice," he says.

Facebook does not seem to have any method that I can see for contacting human service team. If I go anywhere on Facebook.com I am immediately told I am blocked and have submitted a review. On Meta.com there is no link to support team and the only facebook help leads back to facebook.com

You can’t scrub away the truth.

Opened another account . Nothing worked - I was unable to send friend requests to friends and family because "You do not seem to know this person". Then yesterday, the new account was banned after I warned a poster against posting AI text as factual information, pointing out the errors in the slop.

Facebook banned me after 16 years for posting a link to an article by Gary Marcus.

I appealed, "Decision after one day". Twenty days later I get an email saying "you have 160 days left to submit an appeal", with a link which led me to a page saying "You submitted an appeal on 19 August 2025."
