Nice review here for the upcoming novel.
"Sarafina is a savage meditation on war and the terror of a world that does not care if you understand it. By blending historical fiction, body horror, and cosmic elements, Fracassi crafts a story that feels immediate yet vast."

SARAFINA by @pfracassi.bsky.social is a fantastic read coming from @clashbooks.bsky.social! The 3 Belle brothers trade the horrors of the Civil War for horrors of another type! Surprising, haunting, and a MUST for your TBR pile! Spoiler-free review:

Book cover for That Very Witch: Fear, Feminism, and the American Witch Film by Payton McCarty-Simas (Luna Press Publishing): Nonfiction. Through historical analysis and dozens of case studies, Payton McCarty-Simas demonstrates how the cinematic witch's evolution across decades reflects major shifts in how feminism is perceived politically and interpreted (counter-)culturally in America. https://www.lunapresspublishing.com/product-page/that-very-witch-that-very-witch-fear-feminism-and-the-american-witch-movie
Book cover for I Can Fix Her by Rae Wilde (Clash Books): Horror featured in 100 Notable Small Press Books of 2025 (https://lithub.com/100-notable-small-press-books-of-2025/): "As Wilde slyly reveals that Johnny’s love may tilt toward obsession, the couple’s world becomes bizarre and threatening. The book’s unseen narrator offers Johnny an escape from the torturous emotional push-and-pull of this relationship. But Johnny’s response (and the revelation of the narrator’s identity) provokes a compelling quandary: does being in love call off our better angels?"

SARAFINA by horror great @pfracassi.bsky.social drops from @clashbooks.bsky.social Apr 7. "Three brothers go AWOL during one of the most violent battles of the Civil War but find something much worse waiting in the woods." Philip finds our heartstrings...and pulls. www.clashbooks.com/new-products...
First event of 2026: I’ll be in conversation with Rebecca Rowland at The Twisted Spine on 1/17 to celebrate the release of her novel EMINENCE FRONT. I had the good fortune to blurb this blizzard of a book, and Rebecca was sweet enough to gift me an all-purpose snowflake multi-tool, which is a first.
An image of Richard Quist's Goodreads review of Sarafina by Philip Fracassi. The text of the review is: Sarafina by Philip Fracassi is an incredible tale set in the American South during the Civil War. The three Belle brothers, Mason, Archie and Ethan make a desperate decision to escape the horrors of war, little knowing the horrors they would escape into. Chased by the Confederate Home Guard as deserters they find refuge in an apparent idyllic setting: an isolated farm inhabited only by the beautiful Sarafina and her young son Titus. Sarafina provides protection, healing, food and shelter to the brothers. As they begin to recover from their harrowing escape and Sarafina's influence on his older brothers grows, Ethan begins to suspect that things aren't quite as they seem. The more he learns and sees, the more convinced he becomes that they need to leave... but that may not be possible. Fracassi delivers an exciting story with compelling and complex characters who aren't all what they seem, with an ending that was both surprising and haunting. I found it difficult to put the book down the deeper into it I got. Recommended.
SARAFINA by @pfracassi.bsky.social: a terrific ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ supernatural tale set against the US Civil War. For the Belle brothers fleeing the horrors of war may lead them into even worse horrors.

A book that made my teeth itchy, my stomach turn, and my innards want to crawl out of my body, David Simmons’ “Fetty On The Switches,” is a damp, leaky, grubby, grimey and bizarre little number that I prodded, circled and then promptly fell headfirst into.
