The notion that medicine wants people sick collapses under the slightest glance at history.

This is not be surprising that doctors don’t want to train and practice in states where they cannot by law prioritize the health and choices of their patients and may themselves be prosecuted for offering the standard of care.

US moving pregnant immigrant girls to Texas to avoid providing abortions, critics say Ex-official calls transfer of unaccompanied girls as young as 13, many pregnant due to rape, a human rights violation

This is horrific. Our government sets new low bars every day. Abortion is healthcare. Forcing young girls to carry pregnancies that are the result of rape is torture. Not providing adequate healthcare for pregnant people is a human rights abuse.

I’m just going to leave this photo of my husband and the creepy (one eyeless) dolls he found in our 220+ year old house during renovations. We thought we might have to move…

Proud mom here of my son who filed his paperwork early so he could be a registered voter on his 18th birthday today and spoke as the surrogate for @grahamformaine.bsky.social at the Stow/Fryeburg/Lovell democratic caucus. Youth are engaged and the future!

I personally know hundreds of more qualified candidates for this position, even Republican doctors I rarely agree on when it comes to politics but would support over this unqualified hack.

Comparison chart titled "Direct Primary Care Practices vs Concierge Practices" from AAFP. It highlights differences: Direct Primary Care has monthly membership fees and doesn't accept insurance, while Concierge Practices have annual contracts and cater to higher-income populations.

Direct primary care (DPC) provides real benefits for both family physicians and patients, but for those new to practice, it may require a little bit of explanation. Learn more about DPC: https://bit.ly/3hjzdv1

Justice for Dr. Linda Davis. ICE must be held accountable for the deadly chain of events and the cruel aftermath.

Her memory lives on in every life she touched.

This is some pretty important investigating. Wonder why these non-issues suddenly become polarizing issues? Some out-of-stater decides to make it one with their $$$. Don’t be manipulated. Trans students are not the enemy. Direct your hate to the billionaires and question their motives.

Hopefully you are right. The last thing we need is another hospital trying mimic DPC when most of us very intentionally left hospital systems to set up DPC. That’s what it looked like from the headline and graphic.

I’ve heard that from a few people and do not have any evidence to refute it. I think Fetterman showed us that things are not always what they seem. That being said, in spirit I wanted to be in the mosh pit at the DM show rocking with Plater. In reality, I was happy to be in PJs at home…

I’m not saying he is a flawless candidate, but I see why he has the emotional appeal to certain demographics and even different generations, which was my point. Mills has done a lot of good but also does not have a perfect record. Like Brian, I am interested in who can beat Collins in the end.

You are probably correct but my heart swelled a little when my son sent me a video of him dancing with Graham at the Dropkick Murphys concert. This Gen X mom who is pissed off at the current state of the world appreciated his punk attitude, and he’s won over the youth like my son who turns 18 soon.

I really don’t know how many times to say this, but under no circumstances should you ever take medical advice from RFK Jr. He is not only unqualified but he is dangerous to public health.

I submit the trebuchet my son built for pumpkin launching, but I have threatened to repurpose it as a manure launcher should ICE find their way to our farm.

So are we rounding up the MAGAs with guns at protests to be punished by firing squads? Because it sounds like our government officials believe it is ok to be put to death for this very offense - they get to play judge, jury, and executioner. When will the double standards be applied to the right?

Here's how 'shared decision making' for childhood vaccines could limit access Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s new approach to six shots that were formerly given routinely will introduce new hurdles for getting kids immunized. And it could have a chilling effect on doctors.

"The problem with shared decision making in this context, is you're suggesting that both options are equally valid. And the fact is: Not getting vaccinated puts your own child at risk, puts you at risk and puts your community at risk. So it's not an equal decision."
