Tonight is #CleanAirNight where we raise awareness about dangers of domestic burning. A fireplace burning 10lb of wood for an hour can emit 4300 times more cancer causing particulates than 30 cigarettes. We need to discourage people from domestic burning to protect our health

Our Head of Devolved Nations and chair of Healthy Air Northern Ireland @josephaluk.bsky.social talked about the health impact of air pollution, worsening existing lung conditions and causing others. We’re delighted to be part of this exciting programme of work.

With hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have gone for a run this morning. It wasn’t as icy as I feared but there were some slippy pavements on the way back, forcing me to go on the road. Nice to go for a run, but probably a bit dangerous
