Still sounds like something that the players should control. I don't think it's reasonable to say "I got a bit heated so I punched him". Wouldn't fly down the pub on a Saturday, shouldn't mid game either.
Yeah, but if, for example, in the NFL you were to say it's a contact sport and you were protecting your QB you'd be fined, suspended and thrown out which I think is a much more reasonable response to a fight in a game.
Thats better. I'd be extreme and say you get a standard police charge for assault though. Imagine pausing for a fist fight mid athletics event? That's pretty much how I think of it. I understand I'm not coming from a fan's viewpoint though.
I've seen games in the UK and it was dumb. Crowd goes nuts for a fight, someone gets a slight boo boo from a slap and now we have to wait for them to scrape the ice because there's a spot of blood. Most annoying was the refs just stand back and wait.

Ok, I've never understood this. It's a contact sport, right? So why the fights? At least why are they built in to the rules/expectations of the game. It always seems unsporting to me and a sign you aren't playing the game hard enough if you have energy for a punch up.

The AWI range does seem a bit nice though so you can't go wrong with them.

I think the "problem" is the quality of entries keeps improving every year... still, runner up in ANY category against things this good I'll HAPPILY take.
