monkey's paw situation where I was born with 20/20 vision (although idk if it still is that exactly between aging & screens) but with astigmatism too so once night falls that 20/20 means nothing if lights are in my face haha. Not too much a problem in CT but in a city like Austin it's miserable

Yeah astigmatism sucks, it makes bright white lights extra bright w/ halos of light around them so it's like extra blinding. It even happens to me w/ subtitles on tv(which is how I noticed my blue light glasses getting rid of those mini halos on those)

This might be a total shot in the dark, but I have astigmatism and that + LED headlights makes driving at night extremely difficult--does anyone know of any glasses that might be able to help with it? I noticed my blue light glasses help a little bit, so I'm wondering if there's something better

I went and I am so glad I did ❤️ It was a much needed place of support and growth that really helped uplift me yesterday.

This really needs to become a "block and move on" place. Don't give them the attention. Don't give them the engagement.

I wish the democratic party & liberals were more open to self reflection and criticism. Progressives/Leftists have been right every single time and every single time that the DNC fails they turn around and still blame us.

increasingly not wanting to go to my dance team practice tonight but I'm trying so hard to not let this steal my joy, embracing the things I can control, and spend time within the Irish dance community in Austin who have become such a family to me over the last 3 years

Joy is the knife that stabs into the heart of despair & apathy.

Feel your joys, big & small, & share them widely & loudly.

Please take time to go outside. Cook a meal or order in good food. Take a shower or brush your teeth.

Ultimately the biggest middle finger you can give folk who don't want you to exist is to refuse to give in to apathy.

Some days all you need to do is survive. And that's okay. 💕
